In a terminal that draws images, which covers Kitty, Ghostty, WezTerm, iTerm2 and Sixel terminals, zshot draws a capture in place of writing a file, and shows the latest screenshot of a navigator session or crawl above its status line. --no-preview writes the file and prints its name instead, and keeps the status to one line of text.

screen, --quiet and output that is not a terminal get files already, as does tmux unless it and the terminal it draws for take Sixel.
